I’m Eric Bodreau, a musician and sound engineer based in Kuna, Idaho. I love helping people bring their vision to life.
Recording, mixing, live sound, weddings, karaoke and audio installations are all part of what we do. We also offer consulting, recording lessons and practical help with audio projects.
Whether you’re developing a song, preparing for a show or sorting out an audio setup, tell us what you have in mind.
Local music is a big part of Syncopainted. We work with musicians and venues across the Treasure Valley, from recording projects and lessons to live shows and community events.
I met Gina Ramage through audio work in 2023. She’s helped me take Syncopainted to a new level ever since.
Gina is my partner, and we work together across the business. We share the planning, hands-on work and day-to-day running of Syncopainted.
She brings ideas, organization and care to how we work, and she’s been right there with me as the business has grown. Her support means a lot to me, and Syncopainted is stronger because she’s part of it.

Background.
I grew up in the Portland area and started playing percussion in school band at age 10. Drumming, singing and recording with bands have been part of my life ever since.
I joined Neon Culpa at 16. In 2006, we toured nationally with Everclear on the Van Wilder: Rise of Taj Tour, playing venues including House of Blues, Portland’s Crystal Ballroom, Harpo’s in Detroit and B.B. King Blues Club in New York.
My early recording years in Portland included working with Charlie Barker during the Neon Culpa days. Those sessions were part of how I got started in recording.
I founded Syncopainted Studios in 2015 while living in Mackay, Idaho. I also played with Mirror|rorriM, opening shows for artists including P.O.D., Lit, Saliva and Alien Ant Farm.
In 2018, I earned my bachelor’s degree in music production from Full Sail University and moved to the Boise area.
In 2020, I officially started Syncopainted Audio LLC, rebranding from Syncopainted Studios to encompass more of what I do: recording, live sound, events and audio installations.
More recently, I played drums and sang backing vocals with Scotty Mac and the Nugs. That included opening for Sara Evans at Roadhouse at The Mill in Emmett in 2025.

A friend through the years
Charlie Barker · Lensgrinder
Charlie Barker, who makes music as Lensgrinder, is my best friend and a fellow musician who’s been there through the years. From the early Portland days to the work I do now, he’s helped me track and record, shared what he knows and helped me keep learning. I’m grateful for his friendship and everything we’ve made and learned along the way.
I’m finishing Threads of Woven Emotion, my first music release ever. It’s a 10-song album planned for early 2027, under the project name Sleek Motif.
Threads of Woven Emotion
A 10-song debut · Indie rock / alternative / experimental
Layered harmonies, polyrhythmic progressions and memorable hooks are a little taste of where it’s headed. Think Queens of the Stone Age meets Ben Folds meets Elliott Smith.
After the album is finished, I plan to bring the music to a band under the name Sleek Motif.
